This is a recent picture of the cutest little boy in the world, Jack! We had new friends over a week or so for dinner, and Jack was wearing his orange and white onesie. While I was putting his laundry away before everyone came over I saw his tie in his drawer and thought it might be cute, and the verdict is.....absolutely, how couldn't it be???
Jack is an amazing eater, or rather he was born with dog syndrome, where he eats everything you put in front of him, and alot of it. His slimming down a bit, but he still has fat thighs, which at first bothered me since he was consistently fat or thin, but how could you not love every inch of this little boy.

Ricky-ism's

So moving from CA was a bit of a shock at first, which is to be expected... but working for Ricky has really given me a continual laugh about living in the south. I always call my mom, and tell her the most recent Ricky-ism that I just heard. I think that most other people would call them southern sayings, but a Ricky-ism is just plain funny. So as I hear them, I will post them. The latest was when I was obviuosly not wanting to devulge something to him and his response was "Yur a damn lur". Go ahead take a minute and try to figure out exactly what the hell that means, you have to say it to yourself exactly how it is spelled. He was trying to tell me that I was " You're a damn Liar!". Ha ha ha I really do enjoy spending most of my day with him, he really does make me laugh.
another Ism's : "Six in one hand, half dozen in the other"
The above picture I added in just for fun, this is Ricky's new kitchen.....notice how the man put a metal OUTSIDE garbage can in the kitchen. He says its a man trash can, I say it should be used for recyling....OUTSIDE. He loves it though, since it holds alot! :) I guess you cant blame that logic.

What people are willing to do

So, this definetly goes against the grain of being sarcastic and funny, but I just wanted to let everyone know how great the south is, or rather how nice the people are. A few weeks ago, I was reading the paper and came across a few letters to the editor about visitors who had come to Dahlonega and how nicely they were treated. I was surprised not that people here were nice, but that people who dont live here wrote in, so surprised that I called my mom, bright and early one morning, and read them to her.
Well, this morning, I had to call the bank to see if they do money orders or cashiers checks, and not only did they say 'Yes, of course', which is probably the obvious answer to everyone reading this, but she asked how much and to who, and said she'd have it waiting for me to pickup! She said if its hot when you come, just pull through the drive through so you dont have to get out of the air conditioning!!!
People are great here.
Also, the tellers name is Vicky, and our kids go to the same day care, which only has 10 kids, which brings me to my next point, of in a small town, you always know someone when you go to the store or go out to dinner, so you at least have to go sober and brush your hair.

The first entry!

Im considering starting a family blog....I'm testing out if I like the idea right now and to see if it is too time consuming and if its easy to post things.
